Battle of buxar was fought on 22 October 1764 between British and combined forces of mir qasim ( nawab of Bengal) ,shuzauddaula(nawab of oudh)[awadh] and mughal emperor shah alam.
It was a great geopolitical and strategical victory for The British in India. It confirmed results of the battle of plasy (23june 1757).The British now enjoyed monopoly on power on whole of the India after this battle. East Indian company now claimed whole of the India as the victory gave them control over allahabad and paved their way for Delhi
