a²- 2a+{5a²- (3 - 4a²)}

Opening brackets (- * - = + ),

= a²- 2a+ 5a²- 3 + 4a²

Bringing all like terms together,

= a² + 5a² + 4a² - 2a -3

= 10a² - 2a -3

= 2a(5a-1) - 3

Hence, a²- 2a+{5a²- (3 - 4a²)} simplifies to 2a(5a-1) - 3.
