Explanation:

Lok Sabha constituencies are demarcated on the basis of population. At present there are 545 members including two nominated from Anglo-Indian communiy. As population has increased as per 2011 census, numbers will grow up if 1971 yardstick is applied. Recently Lok Sabha Speaker suggested a new Parliament House to accommodate growing number of offices. However, as it is unweildy, a smaller House is preferable to a larger House, with more emphasis on Committee System. However, a practical view can be taken seeing the situation prevalent in other large functional democracies.
