Site of photosynthesis

Hey there!

The main site of Photosynthesis is at the leaves, but sometimes green stems also do photosynthesis. The process happens because of the Stomata in the leaves in presence of green pigment - Chlorophyll (Which is very effective in doing Photosynthesis, while other colour pigments don't).

Hope it helped

Photosynthesis is the action of plants to convert light energy into chemical energy which is then used by plants as fuel for other activities.

Photosynthesis is performed when light energy is absorbed by reaction center made of proteins that contains green colored pigment called Chlorophyll. In plants, the (reaction center) proteins are present inside organelles called chloroplasts, which are rich in leaf cells.
