The absorbtion and utilisation of food for proper functioning of the body takes place in small intestine, therefore small intestine is called site of complete digestion

Most of the digestion takes place in small intestine. Here, proteins are converted into amino acids by trypsin.
Carbohydrates into simple sugars.
And fats into fatty acids and glycerol.
Thus complete digestion takes place in small intestine.
