Answer:

sodium and potassium are highly reactive metals

they belong to group 1

they react vigorously in the presence of oxygen and water

so they are stored in kerosene to make sure there is no contact between sodium or kerosene with oxygen or water

if they allowed to react with  water or oxygen they causes fire around and fire accident may occur

IF IT IS HELPFUL MARK AS BRAINLIST

SODIUM AND POTASSIUM IS STORED UNDER KEROSENE

  1. Sodium and Potassium are highly reactive metals and react vigorously with the oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture present in the air such that it may even cause a fire (spontaneous)
  2. To prevent this explosive reaction, Sodium is kept immersed in kerosene because Sodium doesn't react with kerosene.
