yes....... because they are hard
they may break if we try to compress them

Soilds which are having elasticity can only be compressed.
for example, a rubber band is soild and it can be compressed easily.

But all soilds cannot be compressed, this is because they are very hard and strong.
for example, an iron bar is a soild but it cannot be compressed easily.
