According to the question

 - 2x + 6 = 4x - 2

Taking the x terms in one side we get

 - 2x - 4x = - 2 - 6

 - 6x = - 8

Both have negative sign ( - ) so they will cut down

x = \frac{8}{6}

x = \frac{4}{3}

So the required answer is
 \huge \: \frac{4}{3}
