Actually the given equation is incorrect..bcoz on the both LHS and RHS 20 & 30 are multiplied by (x+4) then their is no chance for their equality.

For suppose....let's simplify the equation

Let's x = 1

Then, 20(1+4) = 30(1+4)

20(5) = 30(5)

100 ≠ 150...

Given,

20(x+4) = 30(x+4)

=> 20x+80 = 30x+120

=> 20x-30x = 120-80

=> -10x = 40

=> x = 40/-10

=> x = -4.

Hope it helps you.....
