Solve: 3u + z = 15 and u + 2z = 10 by elimination method.

3x + y = 15..........(1) \\ x + 2y = 10............(2) \\
MULTIPLE eq (2) by 3

3x + y = 15 \\ 3x + 6y = 30 \\ - \: \: \: - \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: - \\0 - 5y = - 15 \\ \\ 5y = 15 \\ y = \frac{15}{5 } \\ y = 3

putting the value of y in eq (2)

x + 2(3) = 10 \\ x + 6 = 10 \\ x = 10 - 6 \\ x = 4
