Answer:

as,

3x-y=5

3x=5+y

X=5+y÷3

put the value of x in equation 2

4x-3y =-1

4×(5+y÷3)-3y=-1

20+4y/3-y=-1

solve after this you will get the value of y after this you can also find x

put in equation y=px-3

Answer:

p = -2.43

Step-by-step explanation:

3x - y = 5  -  -  -  -  -  - (1)\\ 4x - 3y =  - 1 -  -  -  -  - (2)

multiply 4 with (1),

12x - 4y = 20

multiply 3 with (2),

12x - 9y =  - 3

12x - 4y = 20

12x - 9y = -3 -

5y = 23

y = 23/5

y = 4.6

Substitute y in (1),

3x - 4.6 = 20

3x = 20 + 4.6

3x = 24.6

x= 24.6/3

x= 8.2

if ,

y = px - 3

y= p ×8.2 - 3

y =p × 5.2

4.6= p ×5.2

p= 4.6/ 5.2

p = -2.43
