(4x - 3/2 x + 1 ) - 10(2x + 1/4 x - 3) = 3

(5/2 x + 1) - 10(9/4 x - 3) = 3

5/2 x + 1 - 45/2 x + 30 = 3

-40/2 x + 31 = 3

-20x = 3 - 31

-20 x = - 28

x = -28/-20

x = 7/5

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

4x-3/2x+1 - 10 (2x + 1/4x - 3) = 3

Multiplying by 10

4x-3/2x+1 - (20x + 10/4x-3) = 3

L.C.M. will be (2x + 1) (4x - 3)

⇒(4x-3)(4x-3) - (2x+10)(2x+1) / (2x+1)(4x-3) = 3

⇒(16x² +9-24x) - (40x²+20x+20x+10) / (8x² +4x-6x-3) = 3

⇒16x² +9-24x-40x² -40x-10 / 8x² -2x-3 = 3

⇒-24x² -64x-1 / 8x²-2x-3 = 3

⇒-24x² - 64x -1 = 3 (8x² - 2x - 3)

⇒-24x² - 64x -1 = 24x² - 6x - 9

⇒-24x² - 64x -1 -24x² + 6x + 9 = 0

-48x² - 58x + 8 = 0

48x² + 58x - 8 = 0

Taking out 2 as common:

2 (24x² + 29x - 4) = 0

Splitting the middle term:

24x² + 32x - 3x - 4 = 0

8x (3x + 4) -1 (3x + 4) = 0

(8x - 1) (3x + 4) = 0

8x - 1 = 0

∴ x = 1/8

3x + 4 = 0

∴ x = -4/3

x = 1/8 or -4/3
