Step-by-step explanation:

(a-b)x+(a+b)y = a²-2ab-b²...............(1)

(a+b)x+(a+b)y = a²+b²......................(2)

substracting (2) from (1)

-2bx = -2ab-2b²

=> bx = b(a-b)

=> x = (a-b)

substituting the value of x in (1)

(a+b)y +(a-b)² = a²-2ab-b²

=> (a+b)y = a²-2ab-b²-a²-b²+2ab

=> (a+b)y = -2b²

=> y = -2b²/(a+b)

therefore

x = (a-b)

y = -2b²/(a+b)

hope this helps you
