Solve A rational number is such that when you multiply it by 10/3 and add 5/4 to the product you get 29/4 .What is the number.

then, (a X 10/3)+5/4 = 29/4
10a/3 + 5/4= 29/4
thentake the lcm of 10a/3+ 5/4and take the denominator to the RHS
40a+15= 29/4 X 12
40a + 15=87
40a =72
a= 72/40
a=9/5
hence, 9/5 is the required rational no.
