Given

we have given two Equation x-2y=11

3x-10y=25

To Find

Value of x and y

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Substitution method is way of solving the Equation and extract the variable's value by substituting one value into another.

=>Substitute means to replace

=>x-2y=11

=>x=11+2y----(1)

Writing second Equation

3x-10y=25

Now ,put X's value from equation (1)

=>3(11+2y)-10y=25

expanding the terms and removing the brackets

=>3×11+3×2y-10y=25

=>33+6y-10y=25

=>33-4y=25

=>-4y= 25-33

=> -4y= -8

=>4y=8

=>y=8÷4=2

y=2

put y's value into equation 1

x=11+2y

=>x=11+2(2)

=>x= 11+4=15

Therefore,x= 15 & y= 2

Check:

3x-10y=25

=>3(15)-10(2)

=>45-20

=>25

x-2y=11

=>15-2(2)

=>15-4=11

Both equation satisfied at x=15. & y =2 (verified)
