\underline{\underline{\textsf{Question}}} :- Solve and find x : 3x - 4 = 14

\underline{\underline{\textsf{Solution}}} :-

3x - 4 = 14

Move the term -4 to the RHS. Remmeber while shifting any constant or variable the sign of the variable or constant change. + changes to -, - to +, × to ÷ and ÷ to ×

☛ 3x = 14 + 4

Add

☛ 3x = 18

Divide both the sides by 3

\dfrac{3x}{3} = \dfrac{18}{3}

Divide

☛ x = 6

∴ The value of x is \boxed{\boxed{\textsf{6}}}
