here's the answer...

2x – y = (3/4)x + 6.

2x - (3/4)x = y + 6.

(8x -3x)/4 = y + 6.

5x/4 = y + 6.

5x = 4(y + 6).

5x = 4y + 24.

, x = (4y + 24)/5.

x = 4(y + 6)/5.
