(1) 2x-4+x=5-x
then,
x=9/4

priyankomanna: (2) x=463/2
nandatech0: Can you explain the process
priyankomanna: just simplify.

i) 2x-(4-x)=5-x
=2x-4+x=5-x
3x-4=5-x
4x=9
x=9/4
i) (x+3)/7-(x-2)/9=8
[9x+27-(7x-14)]/63=8
9x+27-7x+14=63×8
2x+41=508
2x=508-41
2x=467
x=467/2
x=233.5
hope it's useful for you
please give me a brainlist

nandatech0: It is 4-x not 4+x
mayur0031: the minus sign in outside of bracket so it wii be changed inner sign while '-' to '+' or '+' to '-'
priyankomanna: 63×8=504 not 508
priyankomanna: please check l think lt will hlep you.
mayur0031: sorry it will my mistake
mayur0031: I am solving by 504
mayur0031: 2x=504-41
mayur0031: x=463
mayur0031: not 2x=463
mayur0031: x=463/2=231.5
