( -6)^-1 × x = (9) ^-1
1/-6 × x = 1/9
x / -6 = 1/9
x = -6/9
x = -2/3 ..

(-6) * x = 9^-1
= x = -6/9
= x = -2/3



or

(-6)^-1 * x = 9^-1
x = 9/-6
x = 3/-2
x = -3/2
