we know that
cot2@=cos2@/sin2@
and also that cos2@+sin2@=1
now cot2@+1=cos2@+sin2@/sin2@
=1/sin2@=cosec 2@=rhs
cot2@=cos2@/sin2@
and also that cos2@+sin2@=1
now cot2@+1=cos2@+sin2@/sin2@
=1/sin2@=cosec 2@=rhs

L.H.S=cot^2 x +1
=cos^2x/sin^2x+1
=(sin^2x+ cos^2x)/sin^2x
=1/sin^2x=cosec^2x
