As we know that,

Hypotenuse (h) = 5 cm
Breadth (b) = 3 cm

Now,

$= > {h}^{2} \: = {p}^{2} + {b}^{2}$
$= > {5}^{2} = {p}^{2} + {3}^{2}$

$= > 25 = {p}^{2} + 9$

$= > 25 - 9 = {p}^{2}$

$= > 16 \: \: = {p}^{2}$

$= > \sqrt{16} \: = \: \: p$
