Applying pythagorus theorem in triangle ABC, we get

  (AB)^{2} = (AC)^{2}- (BC)^{2}

   (AB)^{2} = 25 - 16 = 9

Therefore, AB = 3 cm.

AND given that BD =BC/2 = 4/2 = 2cm.

Again applying pythagorus theorem in triangle ABD. we get

 (AD)^{2} =(AB)^{2} +(BD)^{2}

 (AD)^{2} = 9 +4

 AD = \sqrt{13}

Now , AD = \sqrt{13}  and BD = 2

Therefore, sin∅ = BD/AD

                          = \frac{2}{\sqrt{13} } .
