Given :

  • Two lines AB and CD intersect at a point O such that ∠BOC = 125 °

To Find :

  • The values of x , y and z

Solution :

From the given figure ,

∠BOC + z = 180° { \purple{\sf{Linear\:pair}} }

\longrightarrow\sf{\angle 125^{\circ} + z = 180°}

\longrightarrow\sf{z = 180^{\circ} - 125^{\circ}}

\longrightarrow\sf{z = 55^{\circ}}

Measures of vertically opposite angles are equal . From the given figure , ∠BOC and∠y ; ∠x and ∠z are vertically opposite angles.

\longrightarrow\sf{\angle y = 125^{\circ}}

\longrightarrow\sf{\angle x = 55^{\circ}}

Hence , The values of x , y and z are 55° , 125° and 55°
