multiplyed both side by 2 to get a well form (a+b)^2

4x^2+2x-8=0

add and subtract 1/4

4X^2+4x+1/4-33/4=0

(2x+1/2)^2-33/4=0

(2x+1/2-sqrt33/2(2x+1/2+sqrt33/2)

so

(2x+(1-sqrt33)/2)(2x+(1+sqrt33/2)/2)
