x/3-1/5=x/2+1/2

taking LCM on both sides

5x-3/15=x+1/2

cross multiply

(5x-3)2=(x-1)15

10x-6=15x-15

bring 10x on rhs and 15on LHS

15x-10x=15-6

5x=9

x=9/5
