x²=(2+√5) +2{2²-(√5)²}½+½ +(2+√5)
=(2+√5)+2(4-5)+(2+√5)
=(2+√5)-1+2+√5
=3+2√5
same typ
y²=(2+√5)-2{2²-(√5)²}+(2-√5)
=(2+√5)-2(4-5)+(2+√5)
=2+√5+2+2+√5
=6+2√5
therefore
x²+y²=(3+2√5)+(6+2√5)
=9+4√5
=9+2².5½
=9+10^2+1/2
=9+10^5/2
