Solve the following equations.
 \frac{x + 1}{4}  =  \frac{x - 2}{3}

( x + 1 ) / 4 = ( x - 2 ) / 3

Cross multiplying

3 ( x + 1 ) = 4 ( x - 2 )

3x + 3 = 4x - 8

4x - 3x = 3 + 8

x = 11 Answer
