Answer:

Number of Subsets = 2n

Difference in number of Subsets should be of the form 2x(2y−1)

56=8×7=23×(23–1)

n = y = 3

m = x+y = 6

Answer:

m=6 and n=3

Step-by-step explanation:

no.of subsets is 2^n here n is number of elements

so as per the problem

2^m=2^n+56

2^m-2^n=56

check all the powers of 2 until 2^10

2^1=2

2^2=4

2^3=8.........2^6=64...........2^10=1024

now 64-8=56

so we can take 2^m=64 and that can be written as 2^6

similarly we can take 2^n=8 and that can be return as 2^3

so finally the answers of m and n are 6 and 3
