Answer:

x/6=y-6

3x/4=1+y

simplifying the equation1

x/6=y-6

x/6-y=-6

Multiplying 6 on both sides

x/6×6-y×6=-6×6

x-6y=-36 --- 3rd equation

Now simplifying the 2nd equation

3x/4=1+y

3x/4-y=1

multiplying 4 on both the sides

3x/4×4-4×y=1×4

3x-4y=4----4th equation

Now eliminate 3rd and 4th equation

x-6y=-36}×3

3x-4y=4

3x-18y=-108

3x-4y=4

-. +. -

-14y=-112

y=-112/-14

y=8

putting the value of y in equation no.3

x-6×8=-36

x=-36+48

x=12

x=12 & y=8
