Subtracting both the equations,

x+4y=27

-(x+2y)=-21

____________

2y=6

y=3

putting the value of y from 1

x+4(3)=27

x=27-12

x=15

Anonymous: 2y=6 from where it came

Anonymous: sir plzz try to solve with explanation
MVB: x+4y - (x+2y) = 27 - 21. therefore x+4y -x-2y =6. Hence we get 2y =6. We subtract equation 2 from 1.
