f(x)=10+5x-x²

-x² +5x +10 =0

x² -5x -10 =0

on comparing this eq with standard form of quadratic equation ax²+bx+c =0

a= 1 ,b = -5 and c= -10

Discriminant D = b²-4ac

D= -5² - 4×1×-10=> D = 25+40 = 65

x= -b+-√D /2a = 5+- √65 /2 = 5+- 8.06 /2

when positive

x= 5 +8.06/2

= 13.06/2

= 6.53

when negative

x= 5-8.06 /2 = -3.06/2 = 1.53
