there is a formula a^loga(b) =b

let log2(x)=y

9^[log3(y)]=-y^2+y+1

3^[2log3(y)]=-y^2+y+1

{3^[log3(y)]}^2=-y^2+y+1

now using the formula a^loga(b) =b

y^2=-y^2+y+1

0=-2y^2+y+1

0=2y^2-y-1

0=(y-1)(2y+1)

y=1,-1/2

then subbing log2(x)=y

log2(x)=1

2^1=x

x=2

log2(x)=-1/2

2^(-1/2)=x

x=2,2^(-1/2)

Hope this helps you.....
