and 2nd is 64}

x - y = 18.......1)

x + y = 86.........2)

add 1 and 2 equation

2x = 104

{x = 52}

and
y = 86 - 52

{y= 34}

1☺} Let the one number be 'x'
thank the other number will be = 2x
so now, = x + 2x = 96
=> 3x = 96
=> x = 96/3
=> x = 32
So now 2x will be 32 * 2 = 64

2☺} a - b = 18
a + b = 86

Add both the answer of the equation
2a = 104
a = 52

so now if we have a as 52 then we can find out b

a + b = 86
52 + b = 86
b = 86 - 52
b = 34
