solve X + 7 upon 2 is equal to 3 upon 2 x minus 14

Firstly let us separate variables and constant terms.

5x-3/2x=-14-7/2 (signs change here as moving from L.H.S to R.H.S and vice vers)

Now let us take L.C.M

10x-3x/2 =-28-7/2(after lcm)

Now,let's solve

7x/2=-35/2

Now cross multiply,

14x=-70

hence,x=-5.
