Degradation of the environment continuously unavated . the need of the hour is to protect and preserve the environment and the ecological balance . This menace can be fought against only by creating awareness among the people .Rapid deforestation has been the main cause of environment degradation.
The pride of the progress has been rather heavy . many forest beds have been cleared away to set up industrial units . Rapid urbanisation swallowed the remaining green belts . Deforestation on the large scale led to disastrous results . Famines , floods and land erosions have destroyed the ecological balance .
The need of the hour is to plant more and more trees . these bring rain and keep the upper soil intact . Our rivers and lakes have become dumping grounds for Industrial wastes , garbage and dirt . The water has not remained safe for human consumption .
Our cities are becoming dirtier every year . Delhi the capital of Indian, has earned notoriety for being the fourth most polluted city in the world . The emission of smoke from factories has converted our cities into big cash Chambers .
Only a consulted effort by all can help in maintaining the ecological balance .
Only then this vast country will become a pleasant and clean place to live in ..........

Protecting environment
God created man and then he created nature to fulfill all our needs.
Mother nature is really beautiful and nurturing.All the human beings,animals,birds,plants and other species are created by god and therefore we all have equal rights to live and grow but we humans have now become so selfish that we are destroying nature by cutting trees and killing naimals for our selfish needs.But we have never thought that our actions have a much deeper impact becase randomly cutting trees and killing of animals is effecting our environment badly.
This is because the trees hold the underground water and thus trees do not let soil to dry and keep land fertile but when trees are cut then it leads to soil erosion and leads to severe draughts and sometimes floods.
The ecologists and geologists all over the world are announcing that within next ten years there will be no water on earth and this is because of deforestation.
We also kill animals for their skin and meat.Due to simultanous killing of many animals and birds many species have now become extinct.
But now we need to awaken our sensibilities and start to think about mother earth.Lets plant more trees and adopt a vegetarian diet because this is good for our health too.
