In practice, the scientific forestry means conservation and supervision of forests. to implement scientific forestry all the species of trees are cut down and replaced by a particular species of tree. Trees in this process are planted orderly in rows. The colonial government of India implemented this method of scientific forestry as suggested by Dietrich Brandi's. He gave some ideas to conserve the forests of India including the need to train people in the science of conservation or the scientific forestry. In order to implement this practice, the colonial government banned the grazing of animals in the forest and banned the shifting cultivation
