Hello buddy..
However this answer is based on our own personal opinions..
So here are my views..
:-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-)
I don't regret what I have done. It made me a better person. But leaving that community did not diminish my "light" as many of the members thought it might at the time. It enhanced it when I began to take of care of myself- build a business- and explore my talents. This was surprising to me as I always thought "giving to the whole" was where it's at. The problem is, when you don't include yourself in the whole, you cannot give to the whole. Your own well being gets usurped in the gears of that broken idealized system.
I also stopped believing that I was responsible for other peoples' happiness- which I consider another cult I subscribed to for far too long. That was a huge shift. I realized that I cannot stop someone's addictions or be a force for helping people who have mental health issues. I thought I could, but after trying for years to keep a relationship together with someone I loved, I gave up. And, consequently, after trying to make my mother happy for years on end with no success, I gave up that too.
Now, I am learning to give to myself, to build for myself, and this feels selfish to my old conditioned pathways, but is proving to be good. It might sound cliche, but as I do this, I'm making a bigger impact in my work, in my social life, and in my family life too. Now, things are changing. I'm actually finding real peace and more courage to be the real me- and stop being such a conditioned helper. With that, comes more open doors in my life- more possibilities are just there now.
Finding the right relationship to your own life is one of the biggest things you can do. I'm humbled by the process of it and have made many mistakes along the way. I can only hope that the next 5 years, I continue to change.
