Answer:

1125 tiles will be needed to laid on the floor. Cost of putting the tiles is Rs.147825

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Dimensions  of the room is 10 m.× 4.5 m. It means length of the room= 10 m.

and breadth of the room= 4.5 m.

Area of the room = area of rectangle=length × breadth

                                                              = 10 × 4.5

                                                                = 45 sq. m.

Length of side of square tile = 20 cm.

Area of room is in sq.m. so we convert length of side of square tile in m. which is in cm.

1 cm. =1/00 m.

20 cm. = 20/100=0.2 m.

Area of 1 tile = Area of square= side × side

                                                 =0.2 × 0.2

                                                 =0.04 sq. m.

Number of tiles needed=total area of room / area of 1 tile

                                        = 45/0.04

                                         =1125

Cost of putting 1 tile =Rs.131.40

∴ Cost of putting 1125 tiles= Cost of putting 1 tile × no.of tiles

                                            =131.40 × 1125

                                            =147825 Rs.

Answer:

Number of tiles = 1125

Total cost = Rs. 5913

Step-by-step explanation:

Side of square tile = 20 cm = 0.2 m

Area of tile =

                 =

                 =

Length of room = 10 m

Width of room = 4.5 m

Area of room =

                     =

                    =

Number of tiles required =

                                        =

Cost of putting tiles at 1 sq.m. = 131.40

Cost of putting tiles at 45 sq.m. = 131.40 *45 = Rs. 5913
