State any two characteristics of Godavari river

1)The godavri is the largest peninsular river . it rises from slopes of western ghats in the nasik district of Maharashtra.

2) the godavri is joined by number of tributaries such as purna, the wardha ,the pranhita , the manjra, the wainganga and the penganga .

☆ Beause of its length and the area it's covers , it is also known as the " DAKSHIN GANGA "
