Archimedes principal states that: When a body is immersed fully or partially in liquid ,it experiences an upward bouyant force which is equal to the weight of water displaced by it.

Hi mate,
Archimedes principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid whether fully or partially submerged is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces.
Upthrust = Buoyant force = weight of the displaced fluid.
Applications of this principle:
1. Floating of aquatic animals
2. Construction of ships and boats
