The process of ovulation takes place in both ovaries one by one and after the ovulation the ovum immediately goes to the fallopian tube in which it resides upto 15 - 20 days and at the mean time if the female undergoes for the sexual intercourse then ovum is fertilized and goes to the uterus or in the next menstruation cycle it is pumped out.
