The species of coffee was found in the parts of Southern China. But, it is now cultivated across the whole world. The Chinese began to drink it by 3rd century AD, but an urban legend attributes it to an emperor accidentally discovering it when a leaf f he tea plant had fallen into the boiling water. Now tea is cultivated in India specially in Darjeeling, Nilgiri and Assam.
