☺Heya !
here's your answer :
cross pollination is preferred over self pollution as :
>>new varieties can be produced , by doing pollination among different species of flowers / plants. it provides variation because genetic information from various plants is combined.
>>the new varieties are not weak . they are strong and are able to overcome the harsh environmental changes around them.
>>in case of repeated self pollination ,the harmful recessive traits ie the genetic diseases or defects or weaknesses of plants , get a chance to express themselves in the plant , and they pass from one generation to another.
This is avoided by cross pollination because if there is a defect in one species , it can be removed by cross pollination by not pollinating another flower with defected flower , or even any good traits can be mixed , so as to improve overall quality of flowers and plant.

Answer:
hey
Explanation:
the cross pollution is preferred over self pollination because
_> new variation can be produced
when pollen grains of one species is pollinated to another then the characters of both the species combines to form new variant
_>the variant can create a chance of survival of the plant if the niche of the ecosystem changes drastically
_>the disease will develop in the forthcoming generations if pollination takes within the same flower .this can be removed due to cross pollination of other species
_>through cross pollination unisexual flowers can produce their progeny. as they don't have male reproductive part and can't undergo s3lf pollination
