 Examples of insulators include : plastics, Styrofoam, paper, rubber, glass and dry air.

Examples of conductors include: metals, aqueous solutions of salts (i.e., ionic compounds dissolved in water), graphite, and the human body.

Conductors are used in electric circuits as they allow electricity and heat to pass through them easily. Ex-copper
Insulators are used to make handles of pans and utensils which are used for cooking as they do not allow heat to pass through the them easily and thereby prevents burns.Ex-wood
