Wheat is a crop of cool temperature. It grows best in Rabi season because the temperature requirements of wheat are present in the season of Rabi.

Depending upon the variety of the wheat, it requires different temperature zones at different stages of growth and development.

Moreover, wheat grown in winters is well developed to bear cold wave and frost. These are all the reasons why wheat is grown is Rabi season.
