Characteristics of Bryophyte:


(i) These doesn't have vascular tissues i.e. Xylem and Phloem.


(ii)These have rhizoids instead of roots.


(iii) They are composed of Haploid cells and only have one set of Chromosomes.


(iv) Mosses, Liverworts and Hornworts are the example.


Characteristics of Pteridophytes:


(i) These plants have feather like leaves.


(ii) These possess vascular system and reproduce through spores.


(iii) They are terrestrial but are found in water or moist and damp areas.


(iv) They are also called as Cryptogams because they neither produce flower nor seeds.
