The main functions of (1)ER: It serves many general functions, including the folding of protein molecules in sacs called cisternae and the transport of synthesized proteins in vesicles of the Golgi apparatus.

(2)Golgi apparatus:A major function is the modifying, sorting, and packaging of proteins for secretion. It is also involved in transport of lipids around the cell, and creation of lysosomes.
