cos 271° = Cos(270° + 1°) = sin1°

it will lie in 4th quadrant and sin is -ve in 4th quadrant hence its value will be negative

$\cos(271) = \cos(270 + 1) = \sin(1) \\ now \: we \: know \: that \: it \: will \: be \: in \: 4th\: quadrant \: in \: which \: only\: cos\: and\: sec \: angles \: are \: positive \: so \: \\ \sin(1) = \cos(271) is \: negative$
