Answer:

Every Picture Tells a Story

Whenever new writers dive into the writing platform known as Medium they inevitably search for any articles that offer advice on how to succeed in writing here. Along with the tried and true gems of writing often, writing good content, persevering, and reading as well as writing, advice givers suggest using an eye catching photograph with your article.

It is always nice to use our own photos…

This fact was not new to me as I had written blogs for a number of years before joining Medium, and realize just how important photographs can be. Of course it is extremely important to use only photographs that are free to use. It is always nice to use our own photos (like the one above), but it is not always possible. Luckily there are a number of sites offering free-to-use stock photos for people who don’t have their own photographic collections.

One of my own favorites of Letchworth Park, NY.

I began to wonder if everybody has this problem…

Just because there are many high quality photos available for us writers to use it doesn’t make the task of choosing an appropriate photo any easier. On many occasions I have spent as much, or even more time in selecting the right photo. I began to wonder if everybody has this problem, as I started noticing the photos more, whenever I read a new story. As I was scanning the free photos sites, for a picture I could use, I saw many very familiar photos that I had seen on Medium articles. Then I became a bit paranoid and was afraid I might use a photo that had been used on Medium before.

That it totally honest and makes a lot of sense to me!
