Today the sun was scorching hot and shone brightly. The day was very sunny. My dream was to have a big swimming pool in the backyard of my house and i didn't want any neighbours because they cause a lot of disturbance. I never liked to stay in the city, but I always wanted to stay in the outskirts of the city where there are no neighbours. But suddenly, after an incident , i had the totally opposite feelings. One day , some burglars entered my house . They were also known as the biggest theifs and criminals of my city. Unfortunately, we never knew this. They rang the bell of my house, claimed that they were the plumbers whom I had called for the leakage of a pipe at my home and entered my house. As I said earlier- " We never knew that they were the biggest theives and criminals of my city", so we allowed them inside. After they came inside, they showed their true colours. They took out knives and hammers ( used to break lockers ) and blackmailed us saying that if we didn't give them all the money and jewellery present in the home, they would kill us. My mom was just about to open the cupboard when we heard the loud siren of the police Jeep. The police broke into the house and caught the theives. They thanked us for calling them to catch those thieves because they were trying to catch them from a long time by making different kinds of plans and strategies but were unsuccessful all the time. But after the police went, we realized that we had never called the police but on further enquiry , we got to know that our neighbours had seen the theives enter our house and the knew how big theives they were. Our neighbours were the ones who had called the police and saved our lives. We thanked them a lot for this . From that day , i changed my mentality towards neighbours .And that day i remember saying this dialogue to myself - " Today I realised the importance of neighbours and neighbourhood" .
